History

STAR Translation and Software (Thailand) Co., Ltd. started its operations in Bangkok in 1997 and has grown since then to become a leading single-source provider of comprehensive solutions to the translation/localization, publishing and multimedia needs of our many corporate clients both in Thailand and abroad. The last decade has seen us steadily increase our professional team of in-house specialists in a wide range of areas of expertise. We now number 35 in-house, full-time engineers and specialists, supported by another 25 long-term freelance translators working from home. Besides our main focus on quality Thai translation, we now also offer our services for all other Southeast Asian languages, including Burmese and Khmer.

Our Management

Mr. William A. Meyer, Founding Member and our Managing Director, has lived and worked in Thailand since 1986. He is fluent in Thai and English and holds dual Thai and U.S. citizenship.
Mr. Ian F. Leong, our General Manager, has been with STAR since 2005, is a native New Yorker and has lived and worked in Thailand since 1987.
